2027 AFCONQ: Super Eagles Land In Guinea-Bissau For Top-Of-The-Table Clash

Players and coaches of the Super Eagles have arrived in Guinea-Bissau ahead of their 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match against the Djurtus on Tuesday.

Nigeria will face Guinea-Bissau in a top-of-the-table clash as both teams look to maintain their strong starts to the qualifying campaign.

Eric Chelle’s side began their campaign with a 2-1 comeback victory over Madagascar at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo last Friday.

The Super Eagles fell behind early but recovered to secure all three points, with debutants George Ilenikhena and Moses Usor scoring for Nigeria.

Despite the victory, the three-time African champions are currently second in Group L, with Guinea-Bissau sitting above them after recording a 2-0 away win over Tanzania on Friday.

Following the Madagascar game, the Super Eagles remained in Uyo, where they held a recovery session on Saturday before completing another training session on Sunday morning.

Nigeria will now face Guinea-Bissau away on Tuesday, with the result potentially having a major impact on the early standings in Group L.
