UEFA Nations League: Two Teams Qualify For Quarter-Finals
Portugal and Spain have become the first two teams to qualify for the quarter-finals of the UEFA Nations League.
Spain booked their place in the last eight after securing a thrilling 2-1 victory over Croatia on Tuesday night.
Arsenal midfielder Mikel Merino was the hero for Spain, scoring both goals as the world champions secured another important victory.
The win took Spain’s tally to 12 points from four matches, maintaining their perfect record in the competition so far.
Spain have now joined Portugal, who secured their quarter-final spot last week after also winning all their matches in the group stage.
The remaining quarter-final places will be decided after two more rounds of matches scheduled to take place between November 12 and 17.
