Alleged N69.1m Fraud: Blessing CEO Faces Fresh EFCC Charge
The Lagos Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has again arraigned social media influencer and self-acclaimed relationship therapist, Okoro Blessing Nkiruka, popularly known as Blessing CEO, over an alleged N69.1 million fraud.
She was arraigned on Tuesday before Justice R.A. Oshodi of the Special Offences Court sitting in Ikeja, Lagos, on a two-count charge bordering on obtaining money by false pretence and stealing.
The EFCC alleged that the sum involved is N69,150,000.
At the start of proceedings, the prosecution counsel, C. C. Okezie, urged the court to proceed with the arraignment, arguing that the defendant had already been properly served with the charge.
However, the defence counsel, Nkama Nneka, informed the court that the charge had only recently been served on the defendant.
In his ruling, Justice Oshodi held that the arraignment should proceed in line with legal procedure, after which the charges were read to the defendant.
This development comes shortly after Blessing CEO was previously arraigned by the EFCC on May 15, 2026, over an alleged N36 million fraud case.

BBNaija Reunion: I Never Wanted To Date Dede – Kola
Former Big Brother Naija Season 10 housemate, Kola, has said that he never intended to be in a romantic relationship with his love interest on the show, Dede.
He made this known during the second episode of the BBNaija reunion, which aired on Tuesday night.
According to Kola, despite how strongly he pursued her in the house, his intention was never to date her.
“I never said I wanted to date Dede,” he said.
His friend, Bright Morgan, also revealed that he had advised Kola to stop chasing the relationship, telling him that a woman who is interested would not make things difficult.
“I told Kola to leave Dede, babe wey like you will not stress you,” Morgan said.
Dede, however, shared her own side of the story, saying their friendship became strained after Kola referred to her as “the other person” in an interview.
She said Kola still reached out to her after the show, but acted differently in public.
According to her, they once met at Tacha’s birthday party, where Kola followed her to the bathroom and they spoke. She also said Kola invited her to his house and they discussed a kiss that happened in Biggie’s house.
However, during questioning by host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Kola denied ever inviting Dede to his house.
“I never invited Dede to my house,” he said.

Celebrities Alone Can’t Save Nigeria – Peter Okoye
Singer and former member of the defunct P-Square music duo, Peter Okoye, popularly known as Mr P, has said celebrities alone cannot solve Nigeria’s problems or bring about the changes many citizens desire.
He made the statement while reacting to the frequent calls for celebrities to speak out against bad governance, insecurity, and the rising economic hardship in the country.
Speaking during a recent interview with Wazobia FM Lagos, Mr P explained that meaningful change can only happen when all Nigerians work together, rather than expecting celebrities to carry the responsibility alone.
The singer also apologised for his previous comment in which he said he would no longer concern himself with Nigeria’s challenges.
According to him, while some public figures may have security protection, many ordinary citizens do not enjoy the same privilege, making the country’s problems a concern for everyone.
He said:
“I apologise for saying I won’t concern myself with Nigeria’s challenges anymore. I may have security agencies guiding me but not everyone can afford it. This is our country, it is only us who can bring positive changes.
“However, celebrities alone can’t save Nigeria. All those clamouring for celebrities to speak up against bad governance should redirect their energy. It is not a matter of celebrities. This government has failed us all. But together, we can bring the desired change.”
Mr P’s comments have added to the ongoing debate about the role of celebrities in political and social issues, especially during periods of economic hardship and insecurity.
