Bandits Abduct Eight From Sokoto Community, Rustle Livestock

Bandits have attacked Saketa village in Dinawa Ward, Wurno Local Government Area of Sokoto State, abducting eight residents and rustling several livestock.

The incident was reported in a post shared on X by security analyst Bakatsine on Sunday night.

According to the analyst, the bandits, who were armed with dangerous weapons, stormed the community around 1:00 a.m. and reportedly spent several hours carrying out the operation.

Residents reportedly attempted to resist the attackers, but the bandits overpowered them and escaped with eight people and several animals.

“Last night, bandits attacked Saketa village in Dinawa ward, Wurno LGA of Sokoto State, abducting eight residents and rustling several livestock.

“The bandits, armed with dangerous weapons, stormed the village around 1AM midnight and reportedly spent hours carrying out the operation,” Bakatsine wrote.
