Galatasaray head coach Okan Buruk is hoping Victor Osimhen will recover from injury in time for Saturday’s crucial Turkish Super Lig clash against Trabzonspor at Papara Park.

Osimhen has missed Galatasaray’s last two matches across all competitions because of the injury.

The Nigeria international was unavailable as Galatasaray suffered a 3-1 defeat to Sporting Lisbon in the Champions League last Wednesday.

Buruk’s side then struggled to a narrow 1-0 victory over Kocaelispor at the RAMS Park on Sunday.

Trabzonspor are also expected to provide a tough challenge after suffering a 1-0 defeat to Konyaspor on Sunday.

“It’s a tough away game. They (Trabzonspor) have a very good squad. Their only desire will be to win against Galatasaray,” Buruk said.

“We will also prepare this week. If our players can return, and if we can get Osimhen and Lemina ready, we will field a stronger squad,” he added.
