FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup: 8 Countries Eliminated From Round Of 16
Eight countries have been eliminated from the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup after the conclusion of the Round of 16 fixtures.
The teams knocked out are Argentina, China, Portugal, the United States, England, Japan, France and Poland.
Nigeria’s Falconets were among the teams that advanced after recording an impressive 3-0 victory over England in their Round of 16 encounter.
France also exited the competition after suffering a 3-1 defeat to Canada, while Colombia secured a 1-0 win over hosts Poland.
North Korea continued their campaign with a 2-0 victory over Japan, sending the Japanese side out of the tournament.
Argentina had earlier lost 1-0 to South Korea on Wednesday, while China were defeated by Italy. Portugal also lost to Spain, with the United States suffering defeat against Brazil.

With the Round of 16 now completed, the eight eliminated teams will leave the competition, while the successful sides move into the quarter-finals.
