Tanzania head coach Miguel Gamondi has announced a 24-man squad for his team’s 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying double-header against Nigeria’s Super Eagles.
The squad features mainly players from the Tanzania Premier League, with defending champions Yanga FC and Azam FC contributing five players each.
Local clubs Kagera Sugar and Singida Black Stars have also provided one player each for the Taifa Stars squad.
Among the foreign-based players selected are Novatus Miroshi, who plays for Turkish Super Lig side Goztepe, Cyprian Kachewele of Ukraine’s Kryvbas and Bernard Kamongo of FC Dallas.
Tanzania began their qualifying campaign with a 2-0 defeat to Guinea-Bissau before recording a 1-1 draw against Madagascar in their second fixture.
Gamondi’s side will travel to Nigeria for their Matchday Three encounter against the Super Eagles at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo on November 17.
