Paris Saint-Germain captain Marquinhos has expressed his hope that one of his teammates will win the 2026 Ballon d’Or.
The Brazil international is among the 30 nominees for the prestigious individual award after helping PSG enjoy a successful 2025-26 season.
PSG have a record 10 players on this year’s shortlist, including Achraf Hakimi, Nuno Mendes, Vitinha, João Neves, Fabián Ruiz, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Willian Pacho and Ousmane Dembélé, alongside Marquinhos and Ferran Torres.
“I hope that it will be someone from PSG,” Marquinhos said at a press conference.
“We have very good players. I can’t pick out one. It is an individual award. We won important titles.”
PSG won the Ligue 1 title and successfully defended their UEFA Champions League crown during the 2025-26 campaign.
