CAF Champions League: Abdulrahman Charges Rangers To Stay Focused Ahead Of MC Alger Rematch
Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Chief Operating Officer Ayo Abdulrahman has urged Rangers players to remain mentally prepared for their CAF Champions League second-leg encounter against MC Alger.
The second preliminary-round fixture is scheduled to take place at the Stade Ali-Ammar in Douéra on Friday, with Rangers aiming to secure qualification for the next stage.
The Nigerian champions will enter the return leg with a 2-0 advantage from the first encounter, putting them in a favourable position ahead of the decisive clash.
However, Abdulrahman has warned the players against complacency, stressing that they should expect a difficult test away from home.
“It’s not going to be a tea party, don’t expect them to offer you flowers,” he told the NPFL media.
He added, “Stay focused, take the fight to them, and respond to the dictates of the game, especially when you have to defend.” His message emphasised the need for concentration, determination and defensive discipline throughout the match.
