Champions League Draw: Teams That Arsenal Could Face In League Phase

Published

on

The draw for the 2026/2027 UEFA Champions League league phase will take place on Thursday evening.

All 36 participating clubs have been placed into four pots, and each team will face eight different opponents — two from each pot.

UEFA rules will affect Arsenal’s possible opponents. The Premier League champions cannot face fellow English clubs from Pot 1 or Pot 2, meaning they cannot be drawn against Manchester City, Liverpool, Aston Villa or Manchester United.

There are also country restrictions, with clubs allowed to face a maximum of two teams from the same country.

Due to UEFA’s repetition rule, Arsenal cannot play Inter Milan away at the San Siro because teams cannot have the same away fixture in three consecutive Champions League campaigns. However, a home match against Inter Milan remains possible.

Arsenal could face the following teams:

Pot 1:PSG, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid or Inter Milan (home)

Pot 2:Borussia Dortmund, Roma, Sporting, FC Porto, Club Brugge, Real Betis or PSV.

Pot 3:Feyenoord, Lille, Bodø/Glimt, Napoli, RB Leipzig, Villarreal, Fenerbahçe, Shakhtar Donetsk or Galatasaray.

Pot 4:Slavia Prague, ŠK Slovan Bratislava, VfB Stuttgart, AEK Athens, LASK, Como, Lens, Viking or Sabah.
