Champions League: Guardiola Returns To Man City
Pep Guardiola returned to Manchester City on Wednesday night for the first time since leaving the Premier League club during the summer.
The Spanish manager was present at the Etihad Stadium to watch Manchester City take on Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League, marking his first return to the club since his departure.
Guardiola’s appearance comes after he publicly expressed his support for Manchester City following allegations that the club had breached financial rules.
The 55-year-old, who spent a decade at City and won six titles, watched the Champions League fixture from the directors’ box.
He was seated two rows behind club chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak and chief executive Ferran Soriano, highlighting his continued connection with the club’s leadership.
Guardiola has since been replaced by Enzo Maresca, who, according to the report, has made an impressive start by winning his first six league fixtures.
