EPL: Carragher predicts result of Man Utd vs Aston Villa, Arsenal, Chelsea fixtures

Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has backed Aston Villa to defeat Manchester United 2-1 when both sides meet in the Premier League on Sunday.

The former defender also expects Arsenal to secure a comfortable victory over Hull City, while predicting that Manchester City will overcome Nottingham Forest.

Carragher further believes Liverpool will collect all three points against Crystal Palace, with Chelsea also tipped to beat Sunderland.

Speaking to Sky Sports, he said: “Arsenal should get over the line comfortably against Hull, after taking the top spot last week. Same goes for Manchester City, they should get back to winning ways against Nottingham Forest.”

He also expressed confidence in Liverpool’s chances, adding: “Elsewhere I am confident Liverpool will pick up all three points against Crystal Palace.”

On the Manchester United versus Aston Villa encounter, Carragher gave a 2-1 prediction in favour of Villa, writing: “1-2”.
