‘I’m sorry for mocking people’s pains’ – Blessing CEO says son’s death price for mistakes
Self-acclaimed relationship expert Blessing CEO has apologised to Nigerians for making careless remarks about other people’s suffering on social media.
Her apology came shortly after her lover, IVD, appealed for forgiveness from his business partners, family members and friends.
In a lengthy Instagram post on Tuesday, Blessing CEO, who recently lost her second son while in prison, expressed regret over her previous comments about people’s pain. She said her current experience had made her reflect on the consequences of her words and actions.
She wrote: “I am realising that talk is cheap but action is loud. I’m only human, with blood flowing through my veins, so I’m bound to make mistakes.”
She further described the emotional toll of her experience, saying: “Mistakes have a price and that’s what I’m paying for now with my tears. I am so broken to the point that I am losing myself. Pray for me because I’m exhausted from praying by myself.”
Blessing CEO also apologised to those she had hurt through her words and actions, admitting that she now understood the pain she had previously mocked. “I am sorry, I am so so sorry, for speaking about the pains I have never felt carelessly. So I will say this over and over again, I am sorry to everyone I have hurt with words and actions, now I can feel every bit of your pain that I once mocked,” she said.

The apology follows previous controversies surrounding her comments about IVD’s late wife, Bimbo Ogbonna. Blessing CEO had suggested that Bimbo was responsible for the tragedy and made other remarks that attracted criticism and accusations of mocking the deceased. A video also resurfaced on social media in which she said that rather than snatching someone’s husband, she would “put you 6 feet and collect him.”
