EPL: Deschamps takes decision on replacing Carrick as Man Utd manager

Former France head coach Didier Deschamps has informed Manchester United that he is not interested in taking over as the club’s next manager.

According to the UK Mirror, United had contacted Deschamps to discuss the possibility of replacing Michael Carrick at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils reportedly viewed the 58-year-old as an experienced candidate with a proven history of winning major trophies.

However, Deschamps has made it clear to the Premier League club that he is not keen on taking up the managerial position.

Carrick is currently under pressure to save his job after Manchester United managed just one victory in their opening nine Premier League matches.
