EPL: Man Utd Board Pick Two Managers To Replace Carrick
Manchester United’s board has reportedly identified two managers who could replace Michael Carrick if the club decides to part ways with the Englishman.
According to The Guardian, Aston Villa manager Unai Emery and German coach Julian Nagelsmann are the leading candidates being considered for the head coach position.
United have endured their worst start to a season since 1986, with their recent 4-1 Champions League defeat to Como adding to the pressure on Carrick.
The former Manchester United midfielder is facing increasing scrutiny after the Red Devils went seven consecutive matches without a victory in all competitions.
Despite the growing uncertainty surrounding his future, Carrick is still expected to lead the team in Sunday’s Premier League home fixture against Bournemouth.
The defeat to Como has reportedly intensified discussions about potential replacements should the club decide to dismiss the current manager.
