EPL: ‘They’re Top Wingers’ – Rio Ngumoha Reveals Two Players He Learns From
Liverpool winger Rio Ngumoha has revealed that Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka and Barcelona’s Anthony Gordon are two players he looks up to and learns from.
The 18-year-old made the revelation after Liverpool secured a 2-1 victory over Brentford in the Premier League at the weekend.
Ngumoha, who shares the England national team environment with the two players, praised their quality and explained how observing them has helped his development as a winger.
Speaking after the match, he said: “Playing on the right [wing position] was good for England, but also watching Anthony Gordon and Bukayo Saka, they are top wingers.”
The Liverpool youngster added that training alongside Saka and Gordon has given him valuable opportunities to learn from their approach to the game.
“Training with them every day and just seeing what they do, that can really help me, and I take some of the stuff they tell me on board, and it is really helpful,” he said.
Ngumoha’s comments highlight his desire to keep improving by learning from established players, particularly those who have experience performing at the highest level.
