Harry Kane Joins Cristiano Ronaldo In Champions League History

Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane has matched Cristiano Ronaldo’s Champions League scoring achievement after scoring in Bayern’s 2-0 win over Bodo/Glimt at the Allianz Arena.

Kane has now scored in eight consecutive Champions League matches, joining an elite group of only four players to achieve the feat in the competition’s history.

Ronaldo reached the same mark twice, during the 2013-14 and 2017-18 seasons. Robert Lewandowski also achieved the streak twice, while Ruud van Nistelrooy completed the list.

Kane scored Bayern’s second goal in the 60th minute, heading in a cross from Michael Olise after Jamal Musiala had opened the scoring earlier.

The goal also took Kane’s Champions League tally to 33 since joining Bayern in 2023, making him the competition’s highest scorer during that period.

Kane’s scoring run has now put him within three matches of Ronaldo’s all-time record of scoring in 11 consecutive Champions League appearances.

Ronaldo set that record between September 2017 and April 2018, and it remains the longest scoring streak in Champions League history.
