‘I Used To Inherit My Friends’ Beefs’ – Bisola Aiyeola Reveals

Popular reality TV star and actress Bisola Aiyeola has opened up about how her loyalty to friends once led her into conflicts that did not involve her.

Speaking on a recent episode of the Dear Ife Podcast, Bisola admitted that she used to take sides in disputes involving her friends, colleagues, and loved ones without hearing the other person’s side of the story.

According to her, she eventually stopped the habit after finding herself isolated when people she defended later reconciled with those they were fighting.

She said:

“I have been in situations where I have taken fights that were not mine. I used to inherit my friends’ beefs to an extent. I did that not just for my best friends but also for acquaintances and colleagues. I even did it without hearing from the other person.

“But I have also been in a situation where I inherited someone’s fight and then they eventually settled, and I became the outsider. So, I told myself it’s not everybody’s fight and beef that I would inherit.”

Despite changing her approach to other people’s disagreements, Bisola said she still expects loyalty from close friends when it comes to past relationships.

She explained that while she does not expect anyone to fight her battles, she would find it unacceptable if a close friend became friends with or dated one of her ex-partners.

According to her:

“I don’t expect people to inherit my beef, but if I have an ex-fiancé and my best friend decides to bond with him, we are not friends. I have cut ties with men who were dating and quarrelling with my best friends.”
