Don’t Get Married If You Don’t Have Money – Jarvis Advises Singles

Nigerian TikTok creator Amadou Elizabeth Aminata, popularly known as Jarvis, has advised young people not to rush into marriage until they are financially prepared.

Speaking during a recent livestream ahead of her white wedding with fellow TikTok star Peller, Jarvis said financial stability is important for anyone planning to get married.

She also suggested that couples can reduce the financial burden by holding their traditional and white weddings in different years instead of organizing both ceremonies at the same time.

Jarvis said:

“If you don’t have money, don’t get married. Don’t try it, I beg you.

“But if you are planning on getting married, you can share it by doing the traditional wedding this year and the white wedding the next year.

“We almost postponed our wedding, but even if we put it in the next 50 years, we are never going to prepare for the wedding.”

Her comments come after she and Peller announced that their white wedding will take place on August 1, 2026.

The couple already held their traditional wedding in Benin City, Edo State, last month and have continued to share updates with their fans as they prepare for the church ceremony.
