Nigerian Military School Gets New Deputy Commandant in Col. Zando Danjuma

ZARIA — In a historic moment for the Nigerian Military School, Zaria, two of its own have risen to lead the institution, as Colonel Zando Danjuma was decorated and appointed the new Deputy Commandant of NMS.

The decoration ceremony, held in a colourful event witnessed by senior officers and dignitaries, saw Col. Danjuma receive his certificate of appointment in the presence of the Commandant. In a symbolic handshake captured in the photo, the new Deputy Commandant was formally welcomed into his new role.

The appointment is particularly significant to the NMS community because both the Commandant and Deputy Commandant are ex-boys of the school. This appointment marks the first time in recent history that both top leadership positions at NMS are held by alumni of the institution.
