NPFL: Oputa Wins Rangers Player Of The Month Award

Rangers International defender Oputa Chibueze Calistus has been named the club’s Player of the Month for September 2026 following an impressive run of performances.

Oputa claimed the individual award after receiving 627 votes in the club’s poll, earning recognition for his contributions during the month under review.

The defender faced competition from seven other nominees, including Igwilo Chimaobi, Azeez Falolu, Daniel Itodo, Austin Opara, Iwundu Chidozie, Abuchi Okereke and Lucky Jimoh.

His victory reflects the support he received from voters, who recognised his performances for the Enugu-based club throughout September.

Rangers, popularly known as the Flying Antelopes, described the award as a well-deserved honour following the outcome of the poll.

The recognition comes as a boost for Oputa, who will be eager to maintain his current form and continue contributing to the team’s performances.
