Osimhen: Galatasaray Questioned For Not Signing New Striker
Turkish football transfer specialist Burhan Can Terzi has questioned Galatasaray’s decision not to sign another top striker during the summer transfer window.
His comments came after Victor Osimhen suffered a groin injury during Galatasaray’s victory over İstanbul Başakşehir earlier this month.
Galatasaray strengthened several areas of their squad by signing players including Rafael Leao, Aleksey Batrakov, Deniz Gül and Lesley Ugochukwu.
However, the club failed to bring in a top striker who could provide competition and cover for Osimhen.
“Osimhen’s not here [today]. Why didn’t you bring in your striker back in June? From June to September, the Galatasaray management left Okan Buruk without a striker,” Can Terzi said.
Osimhen has already missed Galatasaray’s Champions League defeat to Sporting Lisbon in midweek because of the injury and is also expected to sit out Sunday’s Turkish Super Lig clash with Kocaelispor.
