Police Arrest Two Suspected Kidnappers in Oyo

The Oyo State Police Command has arrested two suspected kidnappers in connection with the abduction of a 38-year-old man, Nathaniel Peter.

Peter was reportedly kidnapped at Layeri Village, via Ikoyi-Ile, in Oyo State.

The command’s Public Relations Officer, Olayinka Ayanlade, disclosed this in a statement on Sunday.

Ayanlade said the suspects, identified as Muhammadu Abubakar and Jayun Danali, were arrested in connection with the incident and are currently in police custody.

He added that efforts were ongoing to arrest other suspects allegedly connected to the crime.

“Preliminary findings revealed that three of the armed men forcibly gained entry into the room of Nathaniel Peter, aged 38 years, and abducted him from the premises,” Ayanlade said.

He said the arrests were made as part of ongoing investigations aimed at uncovering the circumstances surrounding the abduction.

“In continuation of the investigation and efforts to unravel the circumstances surrounding the abduction, operatives arrested two suspects, namely Muhammadu Abubakar, male, adult, and Jayun Danali, male, aged 17 years, who are currently assisting the police with information relevant to the investigation,” he stated.
