Preseason: Arsenal Held By Como In Final Friendly
Arsenal were held to a 1-1 draw by Como in their final pre-season friendly on Wednesday night.
The Premier League champions took the lead in the first half when Myles Lewis-Skelly capitalised on a loose pass and finished to put the Gunners ahead.
Como responded before half-time, with Martin Baturina producing a fine finish after driving into the Arsenal penalty area to level the score.
The match ended 1-1 after 90 minutes, but Arsenal went on to win the resulting penalty shootout 4-3.
Mikel Arteta’s side will now turn their attention to competitive football as they prepare to face Manchester City in the Community Shield at Wembley on Sunday.
