British broadcaster Piers Morgan has highlighted three of Cristiano Ronaldo‘s major achievements with the Portugal national team following the forward’s international retirement.

Morgan reacted after Ronaldo announced his decision to end his career with Portugal.

The 41-year-old reportedly made the decision after being suspended by the Portuguese Football Federation for walking out of the team’s camp during the Nations League.

Reacting to the announcement, Morgan, a well-known supporter of Ronaldo, described the Al-Nassr forward as the greatest footballer of all time.

“Cristiano Ronaldo announces his retirement from international football in an emotional and heartfelt video,” Morgan wrote.

He went on to highlight the striker’s remarkable international records, stating: “He played the most games ever (234). He scored the most goals ever (146). He led Portugal to their only major trophies (3). He is the GOAT. Congrats @Cristiano.”
