Russia vs Nigeria: Live Updates From Super Eagles’ International Friendly

Nigeria will play their final game of the current international window when they face Russia in an international friendly on Tuesday evening.

The Super Eagles head into the match looking to recover from their disappointing 3-0 defeat to Guinea-Bissau in a 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying fixture last Friday.

Nigeria will be hoping to put that result behind them and produce a better performance against Russia in Novgorod.

The Super Eagles will field a second-string side for the encounter, with several regular players unavailable because of injuries, club decisions and other issues.

Russia, meanwhile, have enjoyed a strong international window so far. The European side defeated Iran and Namibia in their previous matches, scoring eight goals across the two games.

The friendly will be played in Novgorod, with kick-off scheduled for 5pm Nigerian time, which is 7pm in Moscow.
