Their Mother Is Not As Strong As I Am – Rita Edochie Fires Back At Critics Over Arthritis Rumour

Veteran Nollywood actress Rita Edochie has criticised those claiming she has arthritis after she shared a video of herself dancing on Instagram.

Edochie questioned how critics could link her active lifestyle and movements to a health condition, stressing that she remains strong, energetic and flexible.

In a post on her Instagram page, the actress said her frequent travels and long hours spent standing while promoting her movie showed that she was physically active.

She also questioned whether those spreading the rumour could see their mothers being as active as she is.

“Can their mothers ever be as strong, active, energetic, and flexible as I am? Impossible!” she wrote.

Edochie said she had been moving around, travelling and standing for hours while promoting her movie, adding that her critics were allegedly jealous because she was currently trending and receiving attention online.

“Your empty head can only find arthritis to talk about,” she added.

The actress urged social media users to stop making hurtful comments about others, warning that such attacks could push people into depression.

Edochie also made it clear that the criticism would not stop her from using social media or sharing updates with her followers.
