Transfer: Arsenal Officially Sign Phoenix Blayney

Arsenal have officially signed young goalkeeper Phoenix Blayney from Larne FC.

The Premier League champions announced the signing on their official website on Tuesday.

Blayney has signed a pre-contract agreement with Arsenal, which will allow him to sign professional terms with the club when he becomes eligible.

The Northern Ireland Under-17 international will leave his home country for the first time in his career after impressing Arsenal during a successful trial period.

Despite being only 15 years old, Blayney has already represented Northern Ireland in the UEFA European Under-17 Championship qualifying campaign.

The talented goalkeeper made five appearances as Northern Ireland progressed to the elite qualifying round.

“Everyone at Arsenal welcomes Phoenix to the club and looks forward to supporting him with his continued development,” Arsenal said in a statement.

Blayney will now continue his development within Arsenal’s youth setup as he looks to build a career at the Premier League club.
