Transfer: Chelsea Agree £65m Deal To Sell Second Striker This Week
Aston Villa have agreed a deal with Chelsea to sign Nicolas Jackson.
According to Sky Sports, the deal is worth up to £65 million, which meets Chelsea’s valuation of the striker.
Chelsea have been looking to sell Jackson and Liam Delap throughout the summer as part of their plans to reduce their attacking options.
Delap is also set to leave Stamford Bridge, with the striker on his way to join Nottingham Forest.
Atletico Madrid were also interested in signing Jackson, but they may not be able to match Aston Villa’s offer.
Jackson could be reunited with Villa manager Unai Emery, having previously worked with the Spanish coach during their time together at Villarreal.
The striker spent last season on loan at Bayern Munich after Chelsea signed Delap as his replacement.
