Transfer: Chelsea announce deal for two players ahead of Arsenal clash
Chelsea have announced transfer deals involving two players ahead of their Premier League clash with Arsenal on Sunday.
The Blues confirmed the signing of young full-back Denner from Brazilian club Corinthians in a statement published on Thursday.
The 18-year-old defender has signed a long-term contract with Chelsea that will keep him at the club until 2034. He will initially join the Chelsea CNG squad as he continues his development.
Denner came through the youth ranks at his hometown club Corinthians and is now set to begin a new chapter of his career in England.
Chelsea also confirmed the departure of goalkeeper Ted Curd, who has joined National League side Boreham Wood on a season-long loan.
Curd spent last season with Boreham Wood and played an important role as the club won the National League Cup. His temporary return is expected to provide him with further first-team experience.
“We look forward to supporting Ted throughout his time at Meadow Park,” Chelsea’s statement partly read.
