Transfer: Chelsea announce departure of three players

Chelsea have confirmed the departure of three players from the club.

The Blues announced on Friday that striker Nicolas Jackson has completed a permanent transfer to Aston Villa.

Jackson joined Chelsea from Villarreal in June 2023 and spent last season on loan at Bayern Munich.

Chelsea also confirmed that defender Jorja Fox has completed a permanent move to Ipswich Town.

Fox joined Chelsea’s Academy at the age of eight and made her senior debut in a 4-0 away victory against Aston Villa during the 2020/21 season. She signed her first professional contract with the club in August 2021.

Meanwhile, defender Caleb Wiley has joined Championship side Preston North End on a season-long loan.

The United States international joined Chelsea from MLS club Atlanta United in July 2024.
