Transfer: Chelsea Identify Three Players To Sign After Suffering Alex Scott’s Blow
Chelsea have identified three alternative midfield targets after Bournemouth rejected three offers for Alex Scott.
Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso had reportedly made Scott his top target to replace Enzo Fernandez if the Argentina international leaves Stamford Bridge before the summer transfer window closes next week.
The Blues first made a £62 million offer for Scott in July. However, Bournemouth rejected the bid and subsequently turned down two more offers from Chelsea this month.
Chelsea’s highest proposal was reportedly worth £68 million, but Bournemouth maintained their position that the 23-year-old midfielder is not for sale.
With their pursuit of Scott now facing a major setback, Chelsea have started looking at other midfield options.
According to talkSPORT, the three players identified by Chelsea are Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga, Crystal Palace midfielder Adam Wharton and AS Roma midfielder Manu Kone.
