Everton have reached an agreement with Monaco to sign American striker Folarin Balogun in a deal worth €45 million.

The two clubs have agreed on a €45 million fixed transfer fee, with a further €5 million available in add-ons. A sell-on clause has also been included in the agreement.

The move will see Balogun return to the Premier League, where he began his professional career with Arsenal. The striker later moved to Monaco, where he continued his development and established himself as an important forward.

Balogun is expected to replace Beto at Everton following the Portuguese striker’s move to Serie A side Fiorentina.

Football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed the agreement, stating that Everton and Monaco have reached a club-to-club deal for the striker.

“Everton reach club-to-club agreement with AS Monaco for Folarin Balogun.

“€45 million fixed fee, €5 million add-ons and sell-on clause also agreed with #EFC. Monaco are ready to sell.
