Transfer: Man City agree £125m deal to sign Enzo Fernandez from Chelsea

Manchester City have reached an agreement with Chelsea to sign Argentina midfielder Enzo Fernandez in a deal worth around £125 million.

The transfer fee matches the British transfer record, making Fernandez one of the most expensive players in football history.

Chelsea have given Fernandez permission to undergo his medical and complete his move to the Premier League champions. The deal is now expected to be finalised before the transfer window closes.

Fernandez’s departure leaves Chelsea with a major gap in midfield, and the Blues are already working on signing a replacement.

Chelsea have been pursuing Roma midfielder Manu Kone and Monaco’s Lamine Camara, while also considering other midfield options in the Premier League.
