Turkey: I’m ready to give my all for Galatasaray — Osimhen

Victor Osimhen has vowed to continue giving his best for Galatasaray following his impressive performance in the club’s 2-0 victory over Fenerbahçe.

The Nigeria international scored twice in the fiercely contested encounter, helping Galatasaray reclaim top spot in the Turkish Super Lig table.

Osimhen opened the scoring in the 29th minute before doubling Galatasaray’s lead one minute before half-time. İrfan Kahveci later reduced the deficit for Fenerbahçe two minutes after the hour mark, but the hosts maintained their advantage for the remainder of the match.

The 27-year-old’s performance came after he faced criticism over his form before scoring in Galatasaray’s 4-2 UEFA Champions League victory over his former club, Lille, last week.

Despite the criticism, Osimhen insisted that comments on social media would not distract him from his responsibilities at Galatasaray. He emphasised his commitment to the club and appreciation for the supporters.

“There were discussions before the match this week. I love this club. I always say it,” the striker said, reaffirming his affection for the Turkish giants.
