UCL: Anthony Gordon Names Team To Beat In Champions League
Barcelona winger Anthony Gordon has identified Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) as the team to beat in the UEFA Champions League following Barcelona’s 4-2 defeat to the French side on Tuesday.
The Champions League encounter took place in Paris, where PSG delivered an impressive performance to secure victory against Hansi Flick’s Barcelona.
Goals from Désiré Doué, Lucas Hernández, Vitinha and Fabián Ruiz secured the win for Luis Enrique’s side, while Barcelona managed two goals in the match.
Speaking during his post-match interview, Gordon admitted that PSG deserved to win, acknowledging the quality and consistency the French champions have displayed in recent seasons.
“PSG deserved to win. They have been the team to beat in the last two years and they still are,” Gordon said.
The England international also challenged Barcelona to improve their performances if they hope to compete for the Champions League title and establish themselves among Europe’s leading teams.
