UCL: Mikel Arteta seen raging at three Arsenal stars during 1-0 win over Napoli
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta was seen furious with three of his players during their 1-0 Champions League victory over Napoli on Wednesday night.
The Gunners started their European campaign with an important away win in Italy after dominating the game but struggling to turn their chances into goals.
Martin Odegaard eventually broke the deadlock in the 75th minute, scoring the decisive goal to secure all three points for Arsenal.
However, Arteta was reportedly extremely angry late in the match after Arsenal failed to properly defend a Napoli counterattack.
TNT Sports co-commentator Lucy Ward noticed Arteta shouting at Kai Havertz, Noni Madueke and Christos Tzolis as they failed to quickly recover their positions.
“Mikel Arteta was absolutely furious on the sidelines that Havertz, Madueke and Tzolis weren’t recovering after that attack,” Ward said.

“It was quite notable. As the Arsenal attack concluded, those three seemed to stroll back, and Mikel Arteta sprinted down the sidelines, shouting at them to get back into position.” Arsenal have now won all five of their opening matches of the 2026-27 season.
