UCL: ‘Six Offsides In A Single Match’ – Ozkok Sends Message To Galatasaray Boss Buruk Over Osimhen
Turkish football expert Hüseyin Özkök has urged Galatasaray manager Okan Buruk to address Victor Osimhen’s recurring offside problems following the striker’s disappointing performance against Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League.
Barcelona defeated Galatasaray 4-1 at Rams Park on Tuesday, extending their winning streak to ten matches. The Spanish side’s aggressive defensive approach limited Osimhen’s involvement throughout the encounter.
The Nigerian international recorded just 12 touches, attempted three passes and completed only two. He also won three of nine contested challenges, lost possession six times and managed one shot, which went wide.
Galatasaray struggled to overcome Barcelona’s defensive line, being caught offside eight times during the match. Osimhen accounted for six of those offences, drawing criticism from the Turkish football expert.
“Among Galatasaray’s eight offside infractions, Osimhen committed six. Okan Buruk must unquestionably address Osimhen’s offside issue,” Özkök said during an appearance on A Spor.
The criticism comes as Osimhen endured his first competitive match of the season without scoring or providing an assist. His limited influence was a notable setback for Galatasaray against Barcelona.
