Why I Keep My Wife, Children Away From Social Media – Funnybone
Nigerian comedian and actor Chibunna Stanley, popularly known as Funnybone, has explained why he chooses to keep his wife and children away from social media.
Speaking during a recent episode of The Morayo Show, the comedian said he values his family’s privacy and prefers to separate his public life from his personal life.
When asked why he rarely shares photos or videos of his family despite being a celebrity, Funnybone said:
“In a world where people are just there to look at what is not looking at them, it is safer for you to keep your personal life private.
“Outside and on the stage, I am Funnybone, but at home, I am Chibunna.”
The actor also confirmed that he is married and has two children.
Looking ahead, Funnybone expressed optimism about the future of Nigeria’s comedy industry, saying he hopes local comedians will continue to gain global recognition.
According to him, achieving that goal will require improvements in the way comedy is produced, packaged, and marketed.
He said:
“We are hoping to export our craft to the world, globally.
“And for that to happen, the ecosystem needs to change. So we need to change our approach to the production, packaging and marketing of comedy in Nigeria.”
