2026 Ballon d’Or Voting Officially Closed

Voting for the 2026 Ballon d’Or has officially closed, with the winners now set to be determined after the final votes were submitted.

For the men’s award, selected journalists from the top 100 countries in the FIFA rankings voted to decide the winner.

Among the leading contenders are Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal, Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane, Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappe and Barcelona midfielder Rodri.

For the women’s award, a jury made up of 50 journalists from the top 50 FIFA-ranked nations cast their votes to select the winner.

Manchester City forward Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw and former Barcelona star Alexia Putellas, now with London City Lionesses, are among the players considered favourites for the women’s award.

The 2026 Ballon d’Or ceremony will be held in London, UK, on October 26, when the winners will be announced.
