LaLiga: Mourinho Speaks On Benching Vinicius, Mbappe, Bellingham Against Elche
Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho has revealed that he will rely on data and advice from his medical staff before deciding whether to rest any of his key players against Elche.
Mourinho was asked if he would consider benching Vinicius Junior, Kylian Mbappe or Jude Bellingham for Tuesday’s LaLiga fixture.
Real Madrid are currently facing a demanding period, with three matches scheduled within nine days.
The run began with their game against Rayo Vallecano, followed by the trip to Elche, before they face city rivals Atletico Madrid in the derby on Sunday, September 20.
“Could one of Vini-Mbappé-Bellingham be benched? If I can start them again tomorrow, I’ll start all of them again, yes,” Mourinho said.
“I have a lot of trust in how every player feels about his body and what he tells me. I read data, and I speak to the player and the medical staff to decide.”

“And of course, if they can start, they’ll start,” Mourinho added, suggesting that the trio could all feature against Elche if they are considered fit enough to play.
