Barcelona Legend Sergio Busquets Lands New Coaching Job
Barcelona legend Sergio Busquets has returned to the club to begin his coaching career.
The 38-year-old former Spain international has joined Barça Atlètic, Barcelona’s reserve team, as an assistant coach in the Spanish fourth tier.
Busquets will work alongside head coach Juliano Belletti during the 2026/27 season while also completing his coaching course.

The former midfielder joined Barcelona as a teenager in 2005 and made 25 appearances for the club’s reserve side before earning promotion to the senior team.
Busquets went on to become one of Barcelona’s most successful midfielders, winning numerous domestic and international trophies with the club.
He left Barcelona in 2023 to join Inter Miami, where he played alongside former Barcelona teammates Lionel Messi, Luis Suárez and Jordi Alba.
Busquets retired from professional football in 2025 and has now returned to Barcelona to take his first major step into coaching.
