Carabao Cup: 18 Teams Qualify For Third Round

At least 18 teams have secured qualification for the third round of the Carabao Cup after Tuesday’s second-round matches.

Several clubs recorded impressive victories, including Leeds United, who defeated Nottingham Forest 2-0 away from home.

Brentford produced the biggest win of the night, defeating Birmingham City 6-1, while Sheffield United overcame Blackburn Rovers 2-1 at Ewood Park.

Peterborough United also secured a convincing victory, beating Watford 5-1.

Other teams that progressed include Millwall, who edged Cambridge United 1-0, and Barnsley, who defeated Crewe Alexandra 3-2.

Middlesbrough beat Doncaster Rovers 3-1, Norwich City won 2-1 against Cardiff City, Wolves defeated Sheffield Wednesday 2-0, and Coventry City overcame Plymouth 4-2.

Reading recorded a 3-0 victory over Stevenage, while Lincoln City defeated Blackpool 4-1.

Leyton Orient needed penalties to eliminate Walsall after a goalless draw, while Hull City also advanced through a penalty shoot-out against Stoke City.

West Ham United comfortably defeated Southampton 4-1, Fleetwood Town thrashed Shrewsbury Town 4-0, and Ipswich Town beat Leicester City 2-0.
