Championship: Femi Azeez Named In PFA Team Of The Year

Femi Azeez has been named in the Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) Championship Team of the Year.

The Nigerian winger earned the recognition after an impressive 2025/26 season with Millwall.

The 24-year-old enjoyed a productive campaign, scoring 11 goals and providing eight assists in 37 Championship appearances for the Lions.

Despite Azeez’s strong performances, Millwall failed to secure promotion to the Premier League after losing to Hull City in the Championship play-off semi-final.

Azeez’s Millwall teammate, Tristan Crama, was also included in the final XI.

The Nigerian’s impressive performances at club level also earned him recognition with the national team.

The former Reading player made a memorable international debut for Nigeria in May, scoring twice against the Reggae Boyz of Jamaica.
