EPL: I Don’t Know – Arteta Gives Update On Signing New Arsenal Contract

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has refused to confirm whether he will sign a new contract with the club during the current international break.

Arteta is entering the final year of his current deal, which has the same length remaining as the contract he had when he last renewed his terms in 2024.

In September 2024, Arteta signed a new contract with Arsenal during the international break, with the manager expressing confidence that an agreement would be reached.

Asked whether the timing of his next contract renewal would be similar, Arteta said there was no need for concern.

“We are all very much aligned,” Arteta said.

“Whenever the time is right, we will get that done. There is nothing to be concerned about.

“I don’t know if the timing will be the same or different [as his last contract, when he signed it in the September break].

“We all have the same ambition, so when the time is right we will get that resolved.”
