EPL: Man Utd suffer major injury setback ahead of Chelsea clash

Manchester United will be without striker Benjamin Sesko until at least January due to a shin injury, dealing a significant blow to the club ahead of their upcoming fixtures.

The 23-year-old Slovenian forward has not featured for the Red Devils since their Carabao Cup defeat to Brighton on September 16.

Sesko was forced off in the 66th minute of that match after picking up the injury, which has kept him out of action since then.

According to BBC Sport, the striker has undergone multiple medical tests as doctors attempt to determine the exact nature of the problem.

United manager Michael Carrick has reportedly been asking regularly when Sesko will be fit to return to action.

The latest information suggests that the injury may not be shin splints, as initially suspected, but an impact injury, which is different from the original problem.
