Harry Kane becomes highest-paid footballer in Europe
Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane has reportedly become the highest-paid footballer in Europe following the signing of a new contract with the Bundesliga champions.
According to the Daily Mail, Kane has extended his contract with Bayern until 2029, with his new weekly wages rising to £400,000.
The deal is believed to give the England captain the highest basic salary among footballers in Europe.
The contract extension comes just days after Kane was named the 2026 Ballon d’Or winner, adding to his achievements at club and international level.
Kane enjoyed an impressive campaign last season, scoring 73 goals in 65 appearances for club and country.
Since joining Bayern from Tottenham Hotspur in 2023 for £86 million, the striker has scored 156 goals in 161 appearances.
