Konsa joins Arsenal in £55 million deal
Arsenal have signed defender Ezri Konsa from Aston Villa in a deal worth £55 million on Friday.
The 28-year-old was unveiled by the EPL champions on the opening day of the season with the North Londoners hosting Coventry in the first match later tonight.
Konsa signed a four-year deal and has the option of an extra year in the deal.

He has also been handed the number 15 shirt by Mikel Arteta.
Konsa, who spent seven years at Aston Villa and won the UEFA Europa League title with the Villains before his blockbuster move, joins a defence that conceded the least goals last season.
Arsenal sporting director Andrea Berta described Konsa as a defender of proven EPL experience expected to adapt to the team immediately, and bring his wealth of experience to bear when called upon by Arteta.

Konsa who won the Europa League with Villa last season and represented England at the 2026 World Cup revealed that his hunger for more victories as the reason for his transfer to Arsenal.
“It’s a privilege to be here and can’t wait to get started. I want to keep winning, I’m hungry to win and that’s what I’m here for.
“It’s a proud moment for me and my family to play for one of the best teams in the world.”
Konsa played 286 matches for Villa in all competitions before ending his seven years stay with the Midlands club with the Arsenal move.
