Luis Enrique names ‘best right-back in the world’
Paris Saint-Germain manager Luis Enrique has described Achraf Hakimi as the best right-back in the world following the Moroccan’s outstanding performance against Le Havre.
Hakimi delivered an impressive display in PSG’s Ligue 1 encounter on Friday, scoring a hat-trick and providing two assists in their 5-1 victory at Stade CMA CGM Océane.
Speaking during his post-match interview, Enrique praised the defender’s attacking qualities and his ability to contribute to the team’s goals.
“Hakimi is more of a striker. He plays higher, he has this ability to make calls and deliver assists,” the Spanish manager said.
He further explained Hakimi’s responsibilities in the team, highlighting how his role changes depending on whether PSG have possession of the ball.
“He’s clearly a striker when we have the ball. And when we don’t have it, everyone is a defender. He’s the best right-back in the world,” Enrique added.
Hakimi joined PSG from Italian club Inter Milan in 2021 after previously playing for Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid.
