Points Deduction, Relegation Loom as Man City Falls Guilty of 114 Charges

Manchester City have reportedly been found guilty of all but one of their 115 charges relating to the Premier League’s financial regulations, the Daily Mail reports.

The Etihad club was accused of failing to provide accurate financial information for nine seasons, stretching from 2009-10 to 2017-18.

An independent panel hearing into the charges was concluded in 2024.

Since then, there has been a lengthy wait for a verdict, amid speculation that the club had already been informed of the outcome.

A verdict could lead to punishments including significant points deductions, financial penalties and even relegation.

It is understood that points deductions could also be applied to previous seasons, which could potentially result in Manchester City being stripped of some Premier League titles.

Manchester City are expected to appeal any punishment handed down to the club.
